Jared and Adrianne Neville always knew they wanted a big family, as they had grown up within a large and loving clan of parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Like so many young couples, they struggled with infertility. Through constant prayer and medical intervention, they were thrilled to grow their family with sons Mackin and Rhett, and daughter Maryn. Then they learned they were expecting a fourth with no infertility assistance...their miracle baby.

Eden Elizabeth was born November 9, 2013 in Belleville, Illinois. The family was just settling in at home when they noticed Eden running a very high fever. She was rushed to the hospital and eventually diagnosed with meningitis. Though she bravely fought the infection and was supported by some of the best medical professional technology available, she completed her journey into God's loving arms on December 6, 2013.

Now, her army does good works in her name.

It begins with a princess named Eden.

About Us

Eden's Army is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to help families at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Our mission is to give financial support to families whose children are in the care of the CICU at the hospital.

We want these families to have access to the support and technology that sustained Eden during her journey. Together, in Eden's name, we can help make miracles happen.

To date, Eden's Army has donated more than $110,000 to the heart center. This year, that included:

  • two more rocker recliners for rooms
  • visitor seating including 38 chairs and wall storage to make more seating in patient rooms for extended family visits
  • creation of the Beads of Courage (BOC) Sibling program
  • creation of the BOC BEad Mindful program for health care providers on the front lines taking care of families and patients at their scariest times
  • Heart Remembrance Celebration and BOC Strand for Strength & Remembrance Program, with a special butterfly bead.
